SMITH Allie Mae "Al", age 82, was born in Scotland, NC and she resided in Paterson, NJ since 1951. She was a retired Line Worker for Bendix Corporation, Teterboro, NJ. She was a member of The Solid Rock Baptist Church, Paterson, NJ where she served on the Kitchen Committee and the Nurses Guild. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip Smith. She is survived by one son, Jack Smith (Lynn); one daughter, Vanessa Ellis; two step-daughters, Marilyn Jelks and Arlesta Smith; two brothers, Bobby and Buster Morrison; six sisters, Elizabeth Freeman, Priscilla, Jacqueline, Geneva and Hattie Morrison and Alola Lee; three grandchildren, three, great grandchildren; two godchildren, Regina and Larry Smith; devoted friends, Beulah Orr, Bertha, Gloria Drakeford, Mary Reels, and Murty Gamble. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, and neighbors. Services Tuesday, May 5, 2009 12 noon at The Solid Rock Baptist Church, 193 Spring St., Paterson, NJ Interment Fair Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit 11-12 at the church.
