CASSELBERRY, Fla. -- Allen "Whitie" White passed away peacefully on June 2, 2010, at his sister's home in Casselberry, after a long illness.Allen was born March 14, 1939, in Somerville, Mass., the son of Arthur and Ellen White. He moved to Maine with his family and lived in Winthrop, where he graduated from Winthrop Adult Education.Allen enjoyed music and taking pictures of his family. Because of his pictures, our family has many wonderful memories.He was always helping others, whether it be running errands for neighbors or getting their mail. Allen's biggest joy was helping Helen at her store in Winthrop. He was a very special friend to everyone.He is survived by his two sisters, Barbara Myhre, of Casselberry, and Roberta Veilleux of Chelsea, Maine; nieces Sandra Smith and Lynn Dorso; and nephews James Veilleux, David Smith and Donald Smith. He has many other loving nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his mother and father; and a twin brother, Arthur White Jr.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 11, at the North Wayne cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory maybe made to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 West Central Parkway, Altamonte, FL 32714.
