ALLEN DENNIS FLANAGAN Allen Dennis Flanagan (Denny), 69 years old, went to sleep in death on September 24, 2006 at his home. His wife Katherine was with him until the very end. Denny will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and loyal friend. His family, friends and West Care Hospice were a source of encouragement and love during his illness, and will miss him greatly. Denny retired from Dade County Public Schools, where he worked as a carpenter. Denny loved life in Franklin and especially enjoyed the beauty of the mountains, and had a deep love and appreciation for God's word and the ministry, he shared with others. Denny was born in New Orleans, LA, to the late William and Irma Flanagan. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Katherine of Franklin, NC, daughter, Bambi Flanagan of Black Mountain, NC and Babette Flanagan of Vero Beach, FL, sister, Sylvia Cail of Mt. Airy, NC; brother-inlaw, John Harris of Franklin, NC, and one special little dog, Kisses. Denny will be remembered as a good man who loved God. Memorial services will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 2:00 pm. Officiating will be the presiding minister, Jerome Schott, Sr. Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
