December 22, 2003 Allen B. Earl, 89, of Baker Road, Cato, NY, died on Monday, December 22, 2003 at Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center, Auburn, NY. Mr. Earl was born in Malone, NY on July 28, 1914 the son of the late Sherman and Harriet Ford Earl. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. Allen was a resident of Cato for the past 27 years coming from Camillus, NY. He retired in 1976 from Olin Construction in Syracuse. He was a member of the Camillus Elks, LaBuff-Cole American Legion #911 of Cato and the Cato Citizen Club. He is survived by his wife, Alice "Joyce" DeLorme Earl whom he married on November 19, 1976; one daughter, Carol (Dominick) Panto of Royal Palm Beach, FL; three step-daughters, Patricia Van Horn of Cato, Lisa Peck of Tucker, GA, Bonnie Wood of Phoenix, AZ; one step-son, Robert (Trudy) Peck of Cato; two sisters, Joyce Withers and Ruth (Charles) Clift, both of Elmore, AL; one brother, Milton (Lois) Smith of Elizabethtown, IN; two grandchildren, Carrie Ben Ami and Stacey Osgood both of Lake Worth, FL; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Clara; one sister and two brothers. Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 27 at Jewell Funeral Home, 13164 South St., Cato, NY. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Floyd Duger, officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery in the spring.
