Allan-James Clark, born in 1927, spouse of Maxine June, died on September 12, 1927. Please consult the obituary here:
CLARK _ Allan James "Jim" Born in Vancouver September 12, 1927, passed on Sunday, October 23, 2005. His final days were spent with loving care given from the staff of the Douglas Fir Hospice Unit. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Maxine June, a son, daughter and three grandchildren who will dearly miss this true family man. His comforting words to us that he had seen all he wanted to see and done all he wanted to do, will give us solace in the days ahead. Allan achieved the elite level in his technical field and was highly regarded by his peers. He served proudly in the Second World War and made two crossings of the Pacific and two of the Atlantic in his tour of duty at sea. In his later life, Allan became an avid cultivator of grapes in the Kelowna area, realizing 40 years ago that the Okanagan Valley would equal if not surpass the Rhine regions of France or the Napa Valley of California. A special thank you to Tony and Crisa Hardy who assisted Allan and Maxine in the final weeks like life long family members. There are great people among us. Please, no flowers, and no Memorial Service at his request.
