Alida Surette BOUCTOUCHE, NB - Alida Surette, 81, widow of Irénée Surette (2000), of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Saint-Grégoire de Kent, passed away at Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent, NB on Thursday, December 19, 2002 after a lengthy illness. Born in Bouctouche, NB on June 18, 1921, she is the daughter of the late Siméon Cormier and Suzanne Richard. Alida was a retired school teacher and attended Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche. She was a member of the Bouctouche Golden Age Club and a member of the retired teachers association. Alida is survived by two sons, Adrien (Lisette) of Bouctouche, David Surette (Shirley) of Saint-Paul; one sister, Henriette Cormier of Bouctouche; one brother, Emerie Cormier of Bouctouche; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Sylvie, Steven, Tammy, Charline and Daniel; two great grandchildren, Joline and Jessica; several nephews and nieces. Resting at Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., Bouctouche with visiting hours Friday, December 20 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 and Saturday, December 21 from 9:00 - 10:45. Funeral service will be held at Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Saturday, December 21, 2002 at 11:00 am. Interment in Parish Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
