Obituary of Alice-Steele Gaudreau


GALWAY, N.Y. Mrs. Alice Steele Gaudreau, 76, of Camp Road, Galway, died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Gaudreau was born in West Springfield, Mass. She came to Galway 35 years ago and had been a homemaker. Alice was a longtime member of the Association for Research and Enlightenment. She also was a member of the Trinity Anglican Episcopal Church of Gloversville, N.Y. Survivors include her husband Adrien L. Gaudreau, whom she married October 21, 1949 and their seven children, Adrien L. Gaudreau Jr. and his wife Linda of Beaverton, Ore., Alden P. Gaudreau and his wife Beatrice of Watervliet, N.Y., Dora S. Sutter and her husband Kenneth of Mifflinburg, Pa., Andrew L. Gaudreau and his wife Cynthia of Kinderhook, N.Y., Linda G. Bucciferro and her husband John of Perth, N.Y., Barbara J. Gaudreau of Philadelphia, Pa., Allan S. Gaudreau and his wife Regina of Middletown, N.Y.; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Lyman N. Steele Jr. of West Springfield, Mass.; and one sister, Lois S. Stevens of Tucson, Ariz. The funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Richard J. Ryan Funeral Home Inc., Galway Village. Calling hours are Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials, American Lung Association.
