BENEVOLA Alice Rebecca Bradshaw Powell, age 80, of Benevola, died Jan. 11, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at Forest Baptist Church with Dr. Vernon Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery in Benevola with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.She was preceded in death by her son, Alvin Lee Agerton; her parents; and her brothers, J.W. Bradshaw, Henry Bradshaw, and Charles Bradshaw.Survivors include her husband, Roy L. Powell of Benevola, Ala.; her sons, Timothy H. Powell (Alice) of Benevola, Ala. and David R. Powell (Angie) of Benevola, Ala.; her sister, Betty Ruth Schultz (Mayo) of Ethelsville, Ala.; her brother, Buddy Bradshaw of Ethelsville, Ala.; five grandchildren, Haley Powell, Zach Powell, Alison Powell, and Drew Powell, all of Benevola, Ala., and Paul Agerton of Ethelsville, Ala.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.Rebecca was born February 2, 1929, in Ethelsville, Alabama to the late Robert Bradshaw and Louise Whitten Bradshaw and moved to Columbus, Mississippi in her early years. She was an excellent seamstress and worked for more than forty years in her profession in Alabama, Mississippi, and Kansas.She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved them and they loved her. They were the spark of her life before the onset of her illness. Rebecca will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Pallbearers will be Jimmy Craft, Bert Craft, Mike Maughan, John H.
