Alice Mae Henson Wallace, 91, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Chester Regional Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Greene and Reverend Roger Roof officiating. The family will receive friends at Barron Funeral Home Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, from 6 until 8 p.m. Interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Wallace was born in Richburg on Dec. 30, 1921. She was a daughter of the late William Leard Henson and Martha Mattie Garrison Henson. Mrs. Wallace attended the schools of Richburg, was retired from Springs Industries, was a member of Orrs Baptist Church and attended First Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia A. Hedgepath and her husband John of Chester; two sons, David M. Wallace and his wife Diane and Heyward L. Wallace and his wife Shelia, all of Blackstock; a sister, Della Rexrode and her husband George of Chapin, S.C.; a brother, Lindsey Henson of Chester; a nephew, Bobby Henson and his wife Judy of Valdese, N.C.; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis H. Wallace; and a son, Daniel M. Wallace.
