Mrs. Alice Munro April 21, 1920 - September 20, 2008 - Passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Saturday, September 20, 2008 in Mississauga at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late John L. Munro. Loving mother of Elaine, Steven (Carol), Trevor (Wendy), David (Phyllis) and Bruce (Trina). Cherished grandmother of 13, proud great-grandmother of 17 and great-great grandmother of 3. The family will receive friends at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel, 3164 Ninth Line in Oakville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the Glen Oaks Chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment at a later date in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
