Obituary of Alice-M. Lee


Lee, Alice M. ALBANY Alice M. (Smith) Lee, 70, entered into eternal peace after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, September 8, 2007. During her time on earth, Alice tirelessly cared for friends and family and is now being cared for by our Father in heaven. Alice was a devoted wife, mother and friend who was loved by all. She was a graduate of Albany High School, and was the daughter of Marjorie Conley, the late Carl L. Smith and stepfather Donald Nardacci. Alice worked for the New York State Dept. of Taxation and Finance for 25 years. She was a Communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Alice is survived by her loving husband Willard V. Lee; children Mitchell Lee of Albany, Susan (Timothy) Ryan of Tillson, Margie (Michael) Castellana of Slingerlands and John Lee of Albany; sisters Carla Rossi and Donna LoPresti; brothers John and Joseph Smith; grandchildren Mitchell Lee, Jr., Jessica Ryan, Lauren Castellana, Sean Ryan, Aaron Castellana and Justin Ryan; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Albany Medical Center, N.Y. Hematology and Oncology Department for their care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:00 am in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Interment in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
