Candia - Alice M. Kenney, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on April 6, 2014, at Elliot Hospital after a declining health.She was born in New York City Jan. 28, 1929, the daughter of the late William and Christine Maloney (Morrison).Alice had resided in Candia since 1930. She was a graduate of Central High School in Manchester. Alice worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Goff Chevrolet and Severino Trucking in Candia. She was an active member of the Candia 1st Baptist Church and Eastern Star Adha Chapter No. 9 O.E.S. Alice belonged to the Manchester Choral Society, Candia Homemakers, Candia Historical Society and many other civic organizations.Alice was an avid Red Sox fan. She loved to travel, work on word puzzles and she loved butterflies. Alice was proud of her Irish/Scottish/English heritage. She enjoyed spending her summers at her home in Dingwall, Nova Scotia, Canada with her husband, Warren.Alice is predeceased by her first husband, Gordon MacDonald, in 1972, and her son, William MacDonald. She is survived by her husband, Warren Kenney of Candia; three sons, Jeffrey and Jocelyn MacDonald of Candia, Kevin and Jeanne MacDonald of Deerfield, Keith MacDonald and girlfriend Barbara of Candia; one stepdaughter, Christine and Jim Walker; grandchildren, Heather and Chris Demone, Melanie and Max Chase, Bethany and John Kempf, Kelli MacDonald, Kyle MacDonald, Jason Walker and Jesse Walker; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews. . services: Friends are invited to Maiden Petrin Funeral Home, 45 High St., Candia, on Thursday, April 10, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral will be held at the Candia First Baptist Church on Friday at 11 a.m. A spring burial will be held at the families' convenience in Holbrook Cemetery.
