AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Alice Louise Williams entered into rest Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Greater Young Zion Baptist Church with Rev. William Blount officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Memorial Garden. She was a native of Emanuel County, Ga. and a member of Greater Young Zion Baptist Church. Survivors are one daughter, Ida (Richard) Wilkerson; one son, Collie (Harriett) Oglesby; stepson, Harry Williams, Jr.; one brother, John (Lottie) Harris; five grandchildren, Roderica Wilkerson, Demetria (Chamele) Coe, Ajaryl (Marc) Bell, Cheryl Markerson, and Carl Markerson; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, George (Roberstine) Williams; a host of other relatives and friends. The remains will lie in state at the church 12 noon until the hour of service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Williams Funeral Home, 1765 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
