Alice Louise Hicks 1914 - 2007 SACKVILLE, NB - Alice Louise Hicks of Sackville passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 13, 2007. Born in Sackville, Alice was the daughter of the late Herbert and Addie (Estabrooks) Anderson. Alice lived her life in Sackville, working at the Sackville Memorial Hospital and at Trenholm's Ladies Wear. She loved her family and enjoyed time at her cottage at Upper Cape. She was an avid gardener and her hands were always busy knitting and sewing. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Society. Alice will be sadly missed by two daughters, Rachel (Lysle) Murray and Sandra Barnhill (Bruce) both of Sackville; a son, William Hicks (Marilyn) of Fredericton, NB; sister, Bernice Niles of Fitchburg, Mass.; grandchildren, Deborah (Leonard) Manderson, Lake George, NB, Brenda (Glenn) Mackenzie and Douglas William Murray both of Sackville, James Hicks (Judy), Fredericton, Janet (Edward) Smith, Hanwell, NB, Peter (Rhonda) Hicks and Sharon (Drew) Simpson both of Fredericton, Owen (Maggie) Barnhill of Bedford, NS, and Jennifer (Adam) Campbell of Hillsborough, NB. In addition are 16 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond W Hicks (1968); brother, Kenneth (Helen) and sister, Dorothy (Walter) Phinney; brother-in-law, Henry Niles; son-in-law, Lysle Murray and infant granddaughter, Sharon Anne Murray. Visitation will take place at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street on Thursday, February 15 at 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A service will be held from the funeral home on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 2 pm with a reception to follow. Interment will be in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring. At the family's request, donations may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxilliary, The Sackville Branch of The Canadian Red Cross or a charity of the donor's choice. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca Thursday, February 15, 2007
