OKEECHOBEE - Alice L. Wallace died on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at the Hamrick Home. Born in Baltimore, Md. Alice lived in Hollywood, Fla. before relocating to Okeechobee ten years ago. While she was able, she was an active member of the Episcopal Church and involved in charity work. By profession, Alice was a nurse and lobbied to establish the status of Licensed Practical Nurse. Alice was preceded in death by her two sons, Richard and David Leffler; and a sister, Lelah. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Wallace. A memorial service will be held at a future date at Church of Our Saviour.
