CHICOPEE - Alice L. (Roy) Mielnikowski, 79, of Chicopee, was peacefully called to her eternal rest on Saturday, December 3, 2005, lovingly surrounded by her children and family. Born August 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Damas Roy and Angelina Zebrowski, she was a lifelong Chicopee resident. Alice was a graduate of Chicopee High School. She was co-owner and operator of the Supreme Diner of West Springfield for many years. Previously she worked for the Buxton Co. of Agawam. After retirement from the restaurant business she finished off her career at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She was a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr. Alice loved cooking, gardening and being with her family. She was predeceased by her lifelong loving soul mate of 56 years, Frederick A. Mielnikowski, on January 24, 2003. Alice leaves 3 children. Deborah Socha and her husband Gary, of North Palm Beach, FL and Hilton Head, SC, Ricky Mielnikowski and his wife Susan L., of Chicopee and Kim Patrie and her husband David Patrie Jr., of Chicopee; a sister, Janet Skypeck, of Chicopee; 3 grandchildren, Brian Mielnikowski and his wife Susan A., of Agawam, Lisa Jarvis and her husband Wess, of Springfield, and Gary D. Socha, of Atlanta, GA; 3 cherished great-grandchildren, Daniel, Benjamin and Samantha; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Basilica. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Chicopee.
