Alice L. Baker, 87, of Rutland, died Nov. 9, 2012, at Mountain View Center. She was born in Granville, N.Y., Nov. 19, 1924, the daughter of William and Lena (Jones) Whitney. She was a 1941 graduate of Granville (N.Y.) High School. Mrs. Baker was employed by General Electric Co. Survivors include a son, Ronald Baker of Rutland; sister, Elaine Currier of Mendon; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Meda J. Baker, in 1994 and three siblings, Clara Matthews, Margie Cota and Elton Whitney. The memorial service is pending with burial to be held in Wells Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clifford Funeral Home.
