Alice E. Roy - MERIDEN -- Born in St. Ephrem de Beauce, Quebec, Canada on Sept. 25, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Goedfroi Pomerleau and Alvine Roy. She had resided in Meriden since 1938, attended schools in Quebec, and was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church.She is survived by two grandsons, Brian Roy of Meriden, and Donald Roy and his wife, Lora, of Washington; six great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberlie, Michael, Faye, Katie, and Tony; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her stepfather, Leon Lessard; five brothers, Henry, Irene, Goedfroi, Albert, and Armand Pomerleau; and three sisters, Eva Fortin, Clarice Grenier, and Blanche Drouin.The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 22, at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, and at 10 a.m. at St. Laurent Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
