Alice Bessie Jean Robinson Hebron/Portage Alice Bessie Jean Robinson, age 75 of Hebron, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 She was born January 5, 1925 in Buckhannan, West Virginia, the daughter of Allen and Bessie Lewis. A Hebron resident for 7 years, formerly of Portage. She was married October 25, 1946 in Gary to her beloved husband of 57 years, Roy Robinson, who survives. She worked at J. C. Penny for 28 years in home decorating in the Gary and Southlake Mall Stores. A William A. Wirth High School Graduate. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved taking care of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Roy Robinson of Hebron; one son, David (Tandra) Robinson of Valparaiso; two grandchildren Mark Robinson and Kristy (Rick) Lohmeyer and two great grandchildren Maris and Harley Lohmeyer, all of Chesterton; one brother, Albert (Norma) Lewis of Hobart; two sisters, Ellen Freeman of Florida and Mavis (Jack) Runyan of Arizona; nieces and nephews, other family members and special friends. Also, special buddy "Bird". She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Jesse, Haze, Rex and Jim Lewis and one sister, Bernice Potts. Visitation Friday, January 2, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m at Engel Funeral Home. Funeral services Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Engel Funeral Home, 2700 Willow Creek Road, Portage, IN 46368 with Rev. Ken Long of Liberty Bible Church officiating.
