Ohatchee - Graveside service for Alfred Paul Fleming, 74, of Ohatchee, will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Mr. Fleming died Sunday morning at his residence. Survivors include daughter, Deborah Chandler and husband, Mike; son, Ashley P. Fleming and wife, Letha; grandchildren, Kimberly Vaughn, Nicholas P. Fleming, and LeaAnna Fleming; great-grandchild, Dallas Vaughn; sisters, Alva Gulledge, Gail Bushard, and Shirley Russell; brothers, Travis Fleming and Larry Fleming and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Fleming is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Fleming and parents, Tracy and Zonie Fleming. Mr. Fleming and was native of Ohatchee and a Masonic Mason with Lodge #700. He retired from the U.S. Army with two tours of duty in Vietnam and one tour of duty in Korean. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the tornado disaster relief fund though the Red Cross.
