LEE _ Alfred William Alfred passed away in Calgary at the Foothills Hospital after a lengthy illness on Thursday, September 22, 2005. Alfred was born on August 14, 1923 in Trealaw Rhondda Valley, Wales. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Dorothy; two sons, Gordon (Connie), Terry (Louise); one daughter Carol (Steve) Constable; six grandchildren, Chris, Courtney, Jason, Scott, Thomas and Michael. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Tyson and Jessica, sister Joyce (Reg) Beauregard and numerous nieces and nephews. Alf was predeceased by brother Jack, sister Doreen and parents, Alfred and Elsie. Alf served overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces during world War II. He was employed for thirty years at the Jubilee Auditorium. Alf was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many years of fishing Alberta lakes and rivers with his fishing buddy Dave Hughes. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Alf has requested memorial donations may be made directly to the Diabetic Association.
