ALFRED L. WILLIAMS Alfred L. Williams, age 84, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2008, in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Avon Park, Florida to Ed and Mammie (Sharp) Williams. Mr. Williams worked in construction for 40 years, he was a member of the Mt. Olive AME Church, and he served in the United States Army during World War II and had been a lifelong resident of Avon Park, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Queen V. Williams of Avon Park, Florida; sons, Alfred A. Williams of Avon Park, Craig Pressley of Delaware, Gary Pressley (Margaret) of Atlanta, Georgia and Enoch Caldwell of Avon Park; grandchildren, Decaris Jones (Joann), Gerald Jones (Elke), Torrie Williams, Tracy Williams, Lorenzo Walker, Tikia Lodge, Alfred Williams (Mary) and Andrea Coleman; 21 great-grandchildren; niece, Audrey Harris; nephews, and many friends; special friend, George W. Loyd of Avon Park. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2008, at the Mt. Olive AME Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2008, in the Mt. Olive AME Church, 818 South Delaney Avenue, Avon Park, FL, with Rev. Larry Keys officiating. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery.
