Obituary of Alfred-J. Williams


Mr. Alfred J. Williams Remsen Alfred J. Williams, 94, formerly of Old State Rt. 12, husband of the late Myra (Felshaw) Williams, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012, at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville. Born in Utica, he grew up in the Holland Patent and Stittville areas, later serving in the European Theater of WW II. After his honorable military discharge, he was employed at Niagara Mohawk, Utica, and Revere Copper & Brass Co., Rome, and he operated a farm at his residence near Remsen. He is survived by three sons, Brian, Lynn and wife, Doreen, all of Remsen, and Kevin and Dawn Campbell, Forestport; one daughter, Connie Williams, Frankfort; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, with interment in the spring in Rural Cemetery, Constableville. Calling hours are Wednesday, 4-8 PM, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Resident Activities Fund, 232 Academy St., Boonville, NY 13309.
