NORRIDGEWOCK -- Alfred A. Carrigan, 97, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at Maplecrest Rehabilitation & Living Center in Madison.He was born Nov. 23, 1913, in Canada, the son of Alex and Mary (McCaskel) Carrigan.Alfred was educated in schools in Madison, Skowhegan School of Arts and the University of Colorado.He retired from the U.S. Army in September of 1959. Alfred had lived in the Madison area for 85 years. He was predeceased by brothers Inman, George, Frank and Melvin Carrigan and sisters Murial Higgins, Ethel Moore and Margie Ingullie.Alfred is survived by several nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held in the spring at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison the date and time will be announced.Cremation and Service arrangements are by Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison.
