VAN BUREN and CONNOR - Albert Roy, 80, died Dec. 15, 2009, at a Van Buren health care facility. He was born Dec. 20, 1928, in St. Basile, New Brunswick, the son of Theodule and Delima (Bosse) Roy. He was employed as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator for many years, both in Connecticut and northern Maine. He had resided in Connor Township for many years, but most recently in Van Buren. Albert is survived by two sons, Claude Roy and his wife, Betty, of Harrison, Tenn., and Michael Roy and his wife, Susan, of Milltown, Ind.; three daughters, Diane Reichler and her husband, Butch, of Granby, Conn., Ann Roy and her husband, A.J., of Bristol, Conn., and Linda Boyce and her husband, John, of Lee; two sisters, Dolores Cyr of Van Buren and Roseanne Cloutier of Edmundston, New Brunswick; six brothers, Normand, Levitte, and Adelard Roy, all of St. Basile, New Brunswick, Laurent Roy of St. Jacques, New Brunswick, Theo Roy of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, and Guildord Roy of Newington, Conn.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his loving companion of many years, Marie Mae Lagasse of Van Buren.
