NEW ORLEANS, La. - Mr. Albert Jim Walker, 68, died on Sunday, September 12, 2010. He was retired by Longshoreman Local ILA 3000. Mr. Albert J. Walker was the son of the late Sarah Gaspard and Ulysses Walker; the beloved husband of Gail Walker; father of Christopher and Wendell (Marine) Foy, Natachia W. (Willie) Hampton, Ingrid W. Sibley, Shermaine W. (John, Sr.) Vincent; brother of Herman (Patricia), Isaiah (Felicia), Beverly (Dorothy) Ulysses, Donald (Martha), Darrin, Marvin Walker, Francis Perkins, Jula (Van) Jones, Edna (James) Bowman, Gwen (Leslie) Brown, Jacquline (Melvin) Turnbo; nephew of Albertha Jessie Spooner, James Bama, and Josephine Bordene; godfather of DeEsther Joseph; grandfather of 15; great grand father of 7. Also survived by a host of sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Johnson; and brother Edward Walker.
