ALBERT J. DESROCHES ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla./ FRANKLIN - Albert J. Desroches, 72, a longtime area resident and a winter resident of Zephyrhills, passed away late Thursday evening, Dec. 15, 2005, in the Hospice House of Edwinola in Dade City, Fla. with his loving family at his side. He was born in St. Albans on June 14, 1933, the son of the late Wilfred and Mary Clerinda (Bergeron) Desroches. Albert retired in 1994, as plant foreman for Pike Industries in Williston. He enjoyed sugarmaking with his family and was a former member of the Franklin Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Anne (Myott) Desroches; two sons, David Desroches of St. Albans and Ronald Desroches and his wife, Dianne of Georgia, Vt.; five daughters, Monica and husband, Gilbert Sweet of Franklin, Madeleine and husband, Fred Connolly of Pomfret, Conn., Patricia Desroches of Franklin, Delores and husband, Tim Parizo of Grand Isle and Karen Desroches and her friend, Chris Walker of Hancock, N.H. He also leaves a brother, Lawrence and wife, Solange Bergeron of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Veronica and husband, Emile Larose of New York, and Patricia and husband, Cecil Greenwood of Conn.; two halfbrothers, Denis Bergeron of Connecticut, and Marcel Bergeron of New York; a halfsister, Annicette and husband George LaCoste of Sheldon; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Norbert and John Bergeron. A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels Catholic Church on Lake Street with the Rev. Maurice J. Roy celebrating a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be next spring in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery in Franklin. Albert's family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans.
