Obituary of Albert-Gordon De-Broux


Albert Gordon "Gordy" De Broux, 85, Green Bay, died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at his home. He was born June 20, 1920, in the town of Green Bay to Albert and Julia (Theys) De Broux. Gordon served his country with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and served as a medic in China, Burma and India. On Aug. 13, 1942, Gordon was united in marriage to Pauline "Betty" Wallen in Alexandria, La. Together they enjoyed the next 53 years of marriage until Betty preceded him in death on June 19, 1995. Gordy was employed for more than 28 years at Green Bay Packaging until his retirement in 1985. He was a longtime member of St Joseph Parish. Gordy is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Daryl Brys, De Pere; Mary and John Walker, Oconto; Vicki and Dick Radosevich, Annette and Tom Christensen, all of Green Bay; one son and a daughter-in-law, Bob and Rosie De Broux, Green Bay; 17 grandchildren, Polly and Matt Roeser, Green Bay; Scott and Nancy Brys, Milwaukee; Michelle and Steve Junco, Green Bay; William and Michelle Radosevich, Fairfax, Va; David and Deirdre Radosevich, Forest Hills, NY; Christina and Christopher Keiler, Mayville, Wis.; Nicole, Daniel, and Joshua Radosevich, Grant, Keith and special friend Amanda, Matthew De Broux, all of Green Bay; Rochelle Walker and special friend Matt, Mansfield, Texas; Bobby Walker and special friend Erin, (Bobby is currently serving his country in Iraq), Maria and Adam Migel, Teri Walker and special friend Tom, John Walker, all of Oconto; seven great-grandchildren, Zakary, Ryley and Casey Roeser, Elijah and Hannah Junco, Aiden Keiler and Baby Migel. He is also survived by a sister, LaVerne De Broux, a brother and two sisters-in-law, Jim and Marilyn De Broux; Fran De Broux; and many nieces and nephews. Gordy was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents; an infant son David; an infant grandson; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Gen and Neal Darrow, Jean and Harold "Bud" Bisick, Millie De Broux; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Karl De Broux, Ed De Broux and Gladys De Broux. Friends may call Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of Ninth Street and Twelfth Avenue, from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
