TOTOWA - Alan "Big Al" Peters, 69, of Totowa, died Dec. 24, 2013. Born and raised in Paterson, he lived there until 1979 before moving to Totowa. He was a supervisor for the U.S Postal Service, Totowa and Paterson, until his retirement in 2001. After that, he worked for Wayne Ford for seven years. Peters served during the Korean Conflict in the 101st Airborne Division. A sports fan in general, he was an avid bowler, and a devoted N.Y. Mets and N.Y. Giants fan. He was also a coach for the Totowa PAL. Husband of Marge (nee Palukaitis) Peters of Totowa.
