Obituary of Alan-C. Hall


HALL, ALAN C. Alan C. Hall of Lower Woodstock, on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at the Carleton Manor, Woodstock, NB. Alan was the son of the late Herbert H. and Mary I. (Campbell) Hall. Born at Bedell Settlement on September 7, 1914. He is survived by his wife Evelyn (Price) Hall, sister-in-law Elva Hall and nephew Sheldon Hall. Predeceased by a sister Anna Bell, brother Harold Hall. Alan operated the original family farm in Bedell Settlement for most of his life. He took pride in his farming and woodlot operations. His quality hay and oats were successfully marketed in the eastern USA. Following retirement he and wife Evelyn moved to Lower Woodstock. He built his own carpenter shop and garage and for several years made furniture and other wood products. Alan found great satisfaction in working with wood and was so pleased when recipients of his work placed it in their homes. Remains resting at The Culberson Funeral Home, 188 Connell Street, Woodstock, NB (506-325-1130) with visitation on Saturday, December 20, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2003 at 2 p.m. from The Culberson Funeral Chapel, Woodstock. Pastor Leonard Cousins officiating. Interment will be at McKenzie Corner United Church Cemetery in the spring. In Alan's memory donations can be made to the donors choice. The Culberson Funeral Home in care of funeral arrangements.
