Obituary of Airth-Elizabeth Rogers


AIRTH Elizabeth Rogers Airth, age 95, passed away Monday, October 15, 2001 in Jacksonville, Florida. A lifelong resident of Live Oak was affectionately known as “ DUCKIE”. She was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Churchwomen, the Dictoress of the St. Lukes Alter Guild, Live Oak Womens Club, Live Oak Garden Club, Tri Delta Sorority and had graduated from Florida State College for Women. Mrs. Airth was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Thomas Airth. She is survived by one sister, Neva Rogers Radford of Live Oak, Florida, one brother Charles Winston Rogers of Live Oak, Florida; seven nieces Miskit Airth Shuman of Orlando, Florida, Elizabeth Rogers Bernard of Jacksonville, Florida, Neva Rogers Fekke of St. Augustine, Florida, Jane Rogers Ross of Amelia Island, Florida, and Melissa Rogers Young of Lawrenceville, Georgia; six nephews, W. C. Airth, Jr. of Orlando, Florida, Hal A. Airth of Live Oak, Florida, L. Bert Rogers of Live Oak, Florida, William B. Rogers of Jacksonville, Florida, Thomas A. Radford, Jr. of Live Oak, Florida and Charles Winston Radford of St. Augustine, Florida. Funeral services for Mrs. Airth were held Thursday, October 18, 2001 at 11:00AM at St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Live Oak, Florida with Father Donald Woodrum officiating.
