WILLIAMS, Agnes Eleanor, passed away August 11, 2005. She was born in Charleston, W.Va., November 7, 1915, to Sallie and Ross Withrow. Agnes married Hugh Gideon Williams December 25, 1940, in Charleston, W.Va. Agnes raised her family in Saint Albans, W.Va., and Alexandria, Va. She retired along with her husband Hugh to Brandon, Fla., in 1975. Surviving relatives are her beloved husband of 64 years, Hugh Williams; her three daughters, Beverly Shell (Dallas) of Nitro, W.Va., Diana Shamblin of Brandon and Michelle Taylor (Doug) of Valrico. She was a doting and adored grandmother, "Me Maw" and great-grandmother. She leaves behind eight grandchildren, Leigh Ann, Lisa, David, Susie, Kris, Brock, Kyle and Ben, and eight great-grandchildren, David, Katie, Annie, Sydney, Cassie, Cole, Chase and Andrew. Agnes was a devoted daughter, wife and mother. Her greatest joy was her family to which she attested until the last day of her life. She was a lifetime member of St. Mark's Methodist Church in Charlest on, W.Va. Agnes touched anyone she met with her kindness, her gentility, her generosity and her beauty. She personified the meaning of a "lady." She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. There will be a visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2005, with services following at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2005, Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, Brandon, (813) 689-8121. Flowers are welcome or donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or charity of your choice.
