PORT ORANGE - Agnes E. Peters, 90, of Village Trail, a former New Smyrna Beach resident, died Saturday at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach. Mrs. Peters, a retired records clerk in the tool engineering department for IBM, Owego, N.Y., was born in Albany, N.Y. She moved to this area in 1986 from St. Petersburg. She received her bachelor's degree in education in 1939 from Ithaca (N.Y.) College. Mrs. Peters was a former physical education teacher for the Watkins Glen and Chenango Forks, N.Y. school systems. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Mainland Shuffleboard Club, and was a former aquatics instructor at Fairgreen Country Club, all of New Smyrna Beach. She also enjoyed playing golf and was an avid football fan. Survivors include a brother, Joseph Degen, New Smyrna Beach. Dudley, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.
