<!-- FH = Peavy Funeral Home --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Agnes Patricia "Pat" WhiteAgnes Patricia "Pat" White, of Tallahassee, FL, succumbed to pneumonia on November 2, 2013. She was born in Beaverdale, Pennsylvania, October 15, 1930, the youngest of seven children of Joseph Grubar and Mary Pasztircsin Grubar, who originated from Hazlin, in what is now the county of Slovakia. Pat graduated from Beaverdale High School, where she was a cheerleader and Valedictorian of her class.She graduated from the registered nursing program at Bellevue Hospital in New York City in 1951. She married her late husband, Charles Nelson "Buster" White of Blountstown, FL, while they were both stationed in Reykjavik, Iceland, serving in the U.S.Air Force. Both were veterans of the Korean War. Pat's 35+ - year career as an R.N. included working as a staff nurse and head nurse at Weems Memorial Hospital in Apalachicola, FL before moving with her husband to Blountstown in 1979.She was employed in private practice nursing for 15 years in Blountstown before finishing her career as a public health nurse in Bristol, FL. She retired in 1999. Pat was a devout Roman Catholic throughout her life and was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Tallahassee, FL. With her late husband, she was a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Apalachicola, FL and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blountstown, FL. Pat is survived by three children and their spouses: Richard Andrew White and Cynthia Wolfe White, Charles Nelson White, Jr., and Sandra Sharp White; Charlene M. White and Dale K. Martin.All live in Tallahassee. She also is survived by three grandchildren and one granddaughter-in-law: Zachary White, Matthew White, and Justin White and his spouse, Brittney Alexis White. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. (EST) at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Tallahassee, FL. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. (EST) at Nettle Ridge Cemetery in Blountstown, FL, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church or to Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, FL. The family will receive friends and family at Peavy Funeral Home following the graveside service.
