UntitledAGNES OVERSTREET WARDSEPTEMBER 18, 1924JANUARY 4, 2008Agnes O. Ward, 83, passed away on January 4, 2008, in a Ft. Worth, Texas hospital after a long illness. Agnes, a long time resident of Pensacola, was born September 18, 1924 in Thomasville, Alabama. For many years, she was an Administrator at the Escambia County Health Department, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. She enjoyed membership in the Ensley Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, the Daughters of the Nile, and the Woman's Club in Pensacola. She was also active in the community until moving to Granbury, Texas in 2006. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Celestine Ward; her parents, Solon Floyd and Eva Estelle Overstreet of Thomasville, Alabama; and her sister, Mary Lou Willis of Thomasville, Alabama.She is survived by her brother, John Overstreet and wife Winifred of Thomasville, Alabama; daughter, Donna Engel and husband Gregory of Granbury, Texas; son, Michael Ward and wife Gina of Lakeland, Florida; and son, Daniel Ward of St. Petersburg, Florida; granddaughter, Valerie Downing and husband Alex of Richmond, Virginia; grandson, Donald Ozburn and wife Connie of Yucca Valley, California; grandson, Timothy Engel and wife Kelly of Ft Worth, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Olson, Jadah and Vanessa Ozburn. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2008 at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at Christ Episcopal Church. Bishop Bob Jones will be officiating. Internment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
