HARDIE, Agnes M. (Nan) Agnes M. (Nan) Hardie died peacefully, at Carleton Lodge, Ottawa, on Thursday April 8, 2004, age 90 years, after a long illness. Widow of the late Dr. John Bruce Hardie, Nan was born Agnes Muir Beatty Kennedy Anderson in Airdrie, Scotland. A long time resident of Halifax, Nova Scotia, she is survived by daughter Ann, of Ottawa, son John, of Amhurst, Nova Scotia and grandchildren Heather, Ian, and Christine. Fondly remembered by Cathy Hardie of Pictou, Nova Scotia. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of Carleton Lodge, Ottawa and Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou, Nova Scotia, for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In lieu of flaowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The Ottawa Citizen
