Adrien Desroches 1926-2015 Tuesday, February 17th in the evening at the Stella Maris Hospital in St-Anne de Kent, Adrien Desroches passed away at the age of 88, husband of Jeannette Richard of St-Louis de Kent, NB. He was the son of the late Phillias Desroches and the late Apolline Daigle of St-Louis. He will be sadly missed by his two sons; Paul (Claire Bilodeau) of Boucherville, QC. And Guy (Despina Kourakos) of Moncton, NB, four grandchildren; Ghislain (Rosanne Bédard), Jolyne (Dhany Darbik) of Ontario, Sylvie and Jean-François of Quebec, Guy’s step-son (Basil Kourakos), and two great grandkids; Aidan and Paige Drabik. He is also survived by five sisters; Ethel Dupuis (late Tilmon), Catherine Maillet (Lawrence), Laureanne Mazerolle (late Alyre), Marie-Anne Desroches, a nun with Notre-Dame Congregation, and three brothers; Vital, Alphonse (Jeannine) and Yvon (Gervaise). He was predeceased by a daughter Micheline who was two days old when she died, two sisters; Yvette (Ronald Leblanc), Diana (Alban Guimond) and one brother Alcide (Ange-Marie). Before retiring, Adrien was a delivery man for the Mother’s Own Bakery. During his retirement he ventured into the Christmas tree business as a grower. Adrien with his jovial nature made a lot of friends through the years. He was a gentle an attentive husband, a great father who was proud of his family, an affectionate grandfather, a generous and helping uncle. His memory will always live in our hearts. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Eric Martin, the staff of the Stella Maris Hospital, and the extra mural nurses for their care and professionalism. Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home, St-Louis on Friday, February 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and Saturday, February 28th from 9h30am until the departure for the funeral. A funeral service will be held at the Church in St-Louis at 11 am. Donations in Adrien’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of your choice.
