Adelyn Mary Barnes, 97, Dunnellon, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at her residence. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, she was born October 19, 1910, to the late John and Mabel Specht and came to this area in 2005 from Las Vegas, NV. She was employed as a schoolteacher. She was Protestant by faith. She enjoyed looking at rocks. Her survivors include her daughter Beverly and husband Kenneth Simmons, Hernando, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvel, in 1992. Private cremation arrangements by Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
