Adelaide M. Anderson (nee Keehn) Merrillville Adelaide M. Anderson (nee Keehn), age 89, of Merrillville, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, was born March 22, 1916 and passed away Monday, October 31, 2005. She is survived by her best friend since childhood, Mildred Brown; sister-in-law, Ruby (late Joseph) Griffin; seven nieces and nephews: Joanne Bertalan, Michael Edwards, Patti Hoekeboer, James Keehn, Judith Koch and Gloria Pappas. She was preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Alice Keehn; husband, Gorden Anderson and son, Robert Anderson and niece, Suzanne Griffin, Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. from the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing. Cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Adelaide graduated from St. Margaret's Nursing School in 1939 and served in the profession until Gorden came back from the war in 1946. She then became a wife and homemaker. She loved life and enjoyed going to the riverboats with her friend, Mary.
