Ada Mae Wallace, 89, Port Charlotte, died Oct. 26, 2004. She was born Aug. 23, 1915, in Gibson County, Ind., and came to the Charlotte County area in 1978 from Princeton, Ind., where she was the owner and manager of Princeton Appliance and Furniture for 34 years. She was active as an officer and member of the Retail Merchants, Parent Teachers Association, the Beta Sigma Phi and the First United Methodist Church, all of Princeton. In Port Charlotte, she worked for Palmers Furniture, which is now Bacon's Furniture, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, the Port Charlotte Lions Club, the Charlotte Promenades Square Dance Club, and the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church. She also was a former volunteer for the Health Plus Gift and Meals on Wheels. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Royce E.; a daughter, Ada Marie "Sandy" Julian of Port Charlotte; sons Fred Thomas of Brandon and James E. of Port Charlotte; sisters Doris L. Inman of Odon, Ind., Mary Frances King of Princeton and Barbara Hasler of Odon; brothers Charles B. McRoberts of Princeton, James Virgil McRoberts of Fairfax, Va., Buril McRoberts of Cannelburg, Ind., and Jack McRoberts of Odon; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, with services to follow at 11 a.m. Services will also be held in Princeton, with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery, Gibson County, Ind. Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Charlotte Chapel, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the Port Charlotte Lions Club, P.O.
