Arthur M. "Dick" Williams, a lifelong area resident, died on Monday at Bronx VA Hospital. He was 63. Dick was the proprietor of Eastern Range Service, in Peekskill, retiring in 1997. He was born in Peekskill on September 3, 1942, the son of Abel and Norma Conklin Williams. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Cold War Era and in Vietnam. On July 11, 1962 he was married to Dorothy Loeber in Monroe, Mich. She survives, and lives in Crompond. He stayed active in various Veteran's groups, such as the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Dick and Dorothy are long time parishioners at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. He was always devoted to his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kathy Williams, of Crompond, Flora Beyer, of Lake Peekskill, and Nancy "Pooh" Williams, of Peekskill; also his brothers, Robert, of Wildwood, NJ, Ronald, of Florida, Lee, of Mt. Kisco, and Dennis, of Buchanan; his sisters, Dorothy Travis and Norma Willi, both of Florida, Linda Brennan and Gloria Williams, both of Poughkeepsie, Marlene "Tina" Williams, of Peekskill, Diane Williams, of Buchanan, Beverly Rutkoski, of Missouri, Deborah Meyers, of Kansas, Joann Henry, and Denise Galban, both of Wappingers Falls. He has one granddaughter, Abigail Beyer, of Lake Peekskill, and many nieces and nephews. Dick was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Segnit, in 1999. His Funeral Service is Friday at 10 AM at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, in Peekskill. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7-9, and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 at EDWARD F.
