Annie Mae Johnson, 58, Palmetto, died July 22, 2002. She was born Feb. 12, 1944, in Savannah, Ga., and came to Manatee County at an early age from there. She was a housekeeper at Manatee Memorial Hospital and a caregiver at Easter Seals. She was a member of Saint John Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Alfred, of Baltimore; her mother, Fenger Mobley, of Palmetto; daughters Charlene Kinder of Palmetto and Alfreda of Bradenton; a son, Mark of Palmetto; sisters Elease Mitchell, Kay F. Rashard and Belinda Mobley, all of Palmetto; brothers Andrew Prehsa of Bradenton and Tyrone Starling of Palmetto; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Westside Funeral Home, Palmetto. The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, Palmetto. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton.
