Anne W. Williams, 89, of 35 Emma St., widow of Ansel L. Williams, entered into eternal peace in Heaven on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003. Born in Transylvania County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late G. Jackson and Cora Whitmire. She was a member of Rutherford Road Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, William P. "Bill" Williams, of the home; a daughter, Jean W. Frazier, of Greenville; grandchildren, Stephen D. Frazier and Sharon E. Frazier, of Greenville, Jennifer W. Barone, and her husband, Bryan, of Canton, Ga., and Jamie Williams, of Franklin, Tenn.; a great-grandson, Dylan Barone; and a sister, Mrs. Vashti Lanning, of Hendersonville, N.C. Mrs. Williams was predeceased by a grandson, John David Williams; a brother, Claude Whitmire; and a sister, Beulah Crain. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at the funeral home, officiated by Dr. Alvin Cooper. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special note of thanks to Mrs. Williams' caregiver, Mrs. Theresa Cantrell, to the staff of Greenville Memorial Hospital Neuroscience Center 5C unit, and to Dr. Ronald Phillips and Mrs. Michelle Cockrell, R.N., for all the love, kindness and compassion that you each gave to our beloved mother and grandmother.
