DAVIS, ANNE LAURIE, age 94, of Groveland, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2004 at Westminster Care of Clermont. Annie was born May 14, 1910 in Ehren, FL moving to Odessa, FL when only a few months old. She graduated from Hillsborogh High School in 1928 and Piedmont School of Nursing, Atlanta, GA. She worked 39 years as a registered nurse, retiring after working 22 years at Morton F. Plant Hospital, Clearwater, FL. After the death of her husband, Frank S. Davis in 1978, she moved to Groveland to be near family. In Groveland she has been a faithful member of Edge Memorial United Methodist Church and the Groveland Garden Club. Survivors: nieces, Mrs. Clyde (Gwen) Puryear and Mrs. Arthur (Marie) Roberts, both of Groveland; nephew, Charles Roberts, South Pasadena, FL; six great nieces and nephews, and 11 great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10AM on October 13, 2004 at the Kurfiss Chapel Groveland of the Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes, with Rev. Tom Pope officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior, to the service at the funeral home. Graveside service and interment will be at 3:30PM at the Cycadia Cemetery, Tarpon Springs.
