JOHNSON, ANNA (ANNE) MAE (MAYE) - age 94, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Summit View of Lake City. She was born November 27, 1919 in Briceville. She had worked in earlier years and retired from United Family Life Insurance Company as a data entry processor in Atlanta, GA. She enjoyed quilting for many years. Preceded in death by her very dear friend, Ned Palmer; parents, Robert and Effie Taylor Johnson; sisters, Irene Hendren and Bonnie Taylor; half-sister, Ruby Slover; nephew, Larry P. Hendren. Survivors: half-sister: Bobby Jennings and Horace of Lake City, TN; brother in law: Leo Slover; nieces and nephews: Lyndal Taylor and Liz of California, Lou Allen of California, Robert Hendren and Shirley of Andersonville, TN, Rebecca East and Warren Berry of Temple, GA, Andrew Hendren of Powell, Roger Taylor and Sue of Lake City, TN, Rhonda Fox and Bobby of Lake City, TN, Stanley Slover and Georgie of Lake City, TN; many great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 26th from 5:00-7:00 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Pastor John Scott Jones officiating. Interment will be Thursday, March 27th at 10:00 AM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
