October 11, 2008 Alton E. Smith, 84, of Cicero, passed away at home. He retired from Goodyear Tire &amp; Rubber Co. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. Alton was predeceased by his twin brother, Simon Smith, and his grandsons, Brian Raymond and Keith Smith. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen; four sons, Edward (Colleen), David (Lorrie), Ronald (Deborah) and Robert (Sandra) Smith; three daughters, Donna (Harry) Raymond, Patricia Eline and Anna Angiolillo; two brothers, Michael Frank and Edger Emmett Smith; two sisters, Sr. Mary Ellen Smith and Mary Mose; 17 grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
