Alice Theresa Cartwright, of Yorktown Heights, died on May 1, 2008. She was 84. Mrs. Cartwright was born December 19, 1923, in Boston, MA, to Joseph and Mary Ryan Diggins. On June 5, 1948, she married Joseph C. Cartwright at St. John the Baptist in Yonkers, NY. Mrs. Cartwright lived in Yorktown Heights for the past 53 years. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights. Mrs. Cartwright will be remembered for her dedication to the Yorktown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center. She is survived by six children - Eileen Lambert -Pleasant Valley, NY, Gerard C. Cartwright -Putnam Valley, NY, Kathleen Kiskis -Palmyra, PA, Maureen Glatz - Wappinger Falls, NY, Thomas Cartwright - Griswold, CT, David Cartwright -Yorktown Heights, NY; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph C. Cartwright, on February 16, 2004. Calling hours are Monday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The funeral mass is Tuesday, May 6, at 10am at New St. Patrick's R.C. Church in Yorktown Heights. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY.
