Alice was born April 20, 1927, in Lampman, SK. She fondly remembered life on the farm, where she and her siblings spent many hours playing music and singing. She obtained her high school diploma at the convent of St Joseph's Academy (Forget, SK), and attended teacher's college in Moose Jaw, SK. In 1945, she met the love of her life, John McPhee; they married August 11, 1947. They farmed briefly in the Whitewood area before moving to Regina in 1949. Alice was a gifted homemaker, seamstress (she sewed all of her daughters' wedding gowns) and gardener, and she was well known for her homemade soup, wonderful baking, especially bread and cinnamon rolls. She was a 43-year member of the Catholic Women's League (CWL). Together John and Alice spent many happy years camping at Kenosee Lake and later at Sherwood Forest. They enjoyed entertaining neighbours, friends and John's coworkers from the Sask. Wheat Pool until John passed away after 34 years of marriage. In 1987 she married Nick. They enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends. They spent many happy hours dividing their time between their family in BC and Regina. After 11 short years of marriage Nick passed away in 1998. Alice was always an avid gardener and loved flowers, especially roses. Growing the "first" ripe tomato of the year was a fun and rewarding challenge. In later years, she enjoyed visits from her large extended family and stayed in touch through letters and emails. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish, 1021 McCarthy Boulevard N. at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 25 with Very Reverend Brad Fahlman. Special thanks to Paramedics Darren and Jesse, the excellent staff at the Pasqua ER (Carrie, Scott and Sam), the nurses on 4A (especially Emma), and her Doctors: Jerikre, Coomeran and Belak.
