Funeral service for Mr. Billy Ray Williams, age 70, of Town Creek, will be Sunday, July 11, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home, Decatur, with the Rev. Charles Sparks and the Rev. Wyman Logan officiating.Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Town Creek. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 10, 2004, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home.Mr. Williams died on Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born on Dec. 1, 1933, in Decatur, Ala., to Lloyd Williams and Carrie Holderfield Williams. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Williams, in 2001.Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Peggie G. Williams; one son, Jonathan Williams, of Town Creek; and three brothers, Jimmy Williams, of Courtland, Joe Williams, of Decatur, and Don Williams, of Hillsboro.Pallbearers will be friends and family members.
