William Patrick Murphy William Patrick Murphy died at the age of 70 on January 14th, after a brief illness. He will be remembered by his wife Lori, his daughter Shawna and his son Patrick, daughter-in-law Shelby, grandson Liam and granddaughter Caitlin. He is survived by his siblings; Laura (Will) Sokolofsky, Alice (Glen) Hartz, Al (Lovey) Brown, Dan (Barb) Brown, Rick (Lucille) Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Art Brown. Pat was born in Saskatoon, June 4, 1941 and lived in Valley Center until moving to Saskatoon as a young boy. He attended St. Mary's Elementary, St Paul's High School, and Saskatoon Normal School. He earned a B.A. B.Ed at the University of Saskatchewan and later attained an M.Ed from Florida Atlantic University. Pat taught with the Saskatoon Catholic School System for 33 years retiring in 1994. As a teacher and principal, Pat coached many sports teams and innovated programs that inspired many young lives. The family wishes to thank the staff at Stensrud Lodge who provided care for Pat during his final months. To those who showed Pat kindness, courtesy and concern during this time, you will be remembered always. A funeral mass will be held at St. Philip Neri Parish located at 1902 Munroe Avenue in Saskatoon at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18th, 2012. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society Saskatchewan are gratefully appreciated. My candle burns at both ends.
